Third annual INFEWS workshop, originally planned for November 2020, will be postponed to November 2021 due to COVID-19. This is the third of four annual workshops held by the Willamette INFEWS project, a research study funded by the National Science Foundation to explore current and future trade-offs between food, energy and water systems in the Willamette River Basin.
The health and safety of our community is our first priority. In Fall 2021, we will decide whether an virtual or in person meeting format is more suitable for the November 2021 meeting. We hope that all can attend the event safely!
The third workshop (November 2021) will:
· Provide an update on INFEWS project activities and progress.
· Introduce and receive feedback on early model results for “alternative future scenarios”.
· Share and seek feedback on full model results for the "business-as-usual" scenario.
· Explore ideas about water, food, and energy management in the Willamette River Basin, with an emphasis on cross-sector connections.
